This is a lot of info, but read it! It will answer MOST of your Questions.


Hail is an act of God, it happens, and in MOST cases it is repairable. (Whew! Wipe that sweat off your brow.)  Some hail is more severe than others, but our job is to get you back on the road, with your car just as good as almost new!


Pause, Take a deep breath.


Second, call your insurance company to file a claim.


In most cases they will let you know that you have to go to one of their “in network” shops to get the estimate started. That’s fine. The insurance companies are the “gatekeepers” and they want to get you in to one of their Direct Repair Facilities (DRP) look at the damages and start the process.


Remember this estimate is just a “starter.” Again, just start the process…


Pick a shop, vet them out, don’t just pick the one your insurance company tells you to go to….(Hopefully you choose us, we would be honored.)


Since we are not a DRP, we do not rely on insurance companies to funnel work our way. We are an independently owned small, local business. The insurance company’s relationship with the DRP’s is based primarily on pricing, not necessarily the quality of the work being completed.


We would much rather do it the old fashion way– quality service, outstanding workmanship, reviews, and referrals by our fantastic customers! We do, however, work with all insurance companies and warranty all our work (just like your insurance company says they do).


Once you have chosen us (NICE WORK) and you drop off your vehicle for repair, we will account for all of the damage to your vehicle that the insurance company has missed. This is called a supplement and ALWAYS HAPPENS…


We count every dent and every damaged part that may need to be repaired or replaced. We will work with the insurance company on your behalf to make sure your vehicle is repaired back to pre-hail condition!  WE ARE YOUR ADVOCATE!


Pro Tip: Ask your claim representative if you have rental reimbursement on your policy. You may already be paying for a free car to drive around while your vehicle is in the shop being repaired!





 When picking a shop, consider these things:


For most of us our cars are our most valuable possessions beside our home. It’s imperative to us that you feel comfortable leaving it with us for an extended period of time, and know we are going to get it back looking great.



It’s your right to have your vehicle repaired at the facility of your choice. (Colorado Law, Baby…) Don’t just go with your insurance company’s recommendation because you think they have your best interests at heart, they are highly focused on their bottom line. Remember, they are the gatekeepers of money. We are the repair professionals who want to give you and your vehicle the repair it deserves!

Talk with the shop to understand the repair process.

The repair process is slightly different for each car. It is important that you and the repair facility are on the same page as far as how we’ll involve your insurance company, how long the repairs might take, and what panels will need to be repaired or replaced.


Wait patiently.

There’s a reason why patience is a virtue! Throughout the process there are steps that involve third parties like insurance or parts vendors. An insurance company generally has 48 hours to come to the shop and review/approve the additional damage, however, in some cases it can take up to 1-2 weeks, especially when it hails because they become inundated with customers.

This wait is not for lack of trying on our end. Unfortunately we have no control over an adjuster’s schedule and really are at their mercy or rather, their queue.

Another example of circumstances beyond our control would be availability of parts. For example Subaru is one of the most popular brands in Colorado. If you happen to need your hood replaced, chances are there are thousands of other people in Colorado (and around the country) that do as well. This can simply be a supply and demand issue. We really try and make this process painless, but sometimes we have our back against the wall.


NOW, pick up your car and get back on the road.

You made it! Dents have been repaired, parts have been replaced and the car has been washed! The only item due at pickup is your deductible. We’ve taken the time to inspect your vehicle again and again, but we’re only human and may have missed something. Perfection is something we do try to achieve, but with big repairs, you may you notice something off, if this is the case please call us as we will rectify the situation.
